In an attempt to compromise with the requests to delete sold horses and the more numerous requests to keep them on the site we have added a green background to the horses that are currently for sale.  There will be a yellow background for contract pending or offer being considered.  Others are either sold or broodmares/siblings listed for your research because they have foals/siblings that are currently for sale.
