Brenda,
Excel is doing well. ….. Faith is very impressed with him and his manners. I can't wait to play with him a little. I'll give him a week to settle in but he already seems very secure and the trailer ride didn't seem to bother him either. He was friendly and relaxed today. I was very impressed with Toiyabe and Gorden's demonstation. Tell him thanks again! It really takes a lot to train them!

Brenda,
Excel looks great! ………. He's very shiny and healthy looking. Faith thinks he's going to go through a growth spurt.
Excel spooked twice on the trail at your farm but recovered right away and he wasn't nervous. That's my inexpert way of telling whether they have a good mind. And he believes you when you tell him everything is ok. He's very aware but not fearful. I think he'll turn out to be a good horse for us.
Gordon gave Excel a quick going-in-the-trailer-and-backing-out lesson when he loaded him and when we got here he came off the trailer like a pro. Pretty curious to see where he was though. He's very sweet and likable….
I think it's neat that Gordon is working with some 2 year olds …. I was really floored that little baby Toiyabe could do all those things.
I had a very good lesson with Amy. Excel responded immediately to everything. He has very good balance and he's very very supple. Amy had me do some basic dressage and neck reining with him. I just worked on those things… in a lesson yesterday and I want to do the same with Excel at least once a week. And trail ride him around the farm a little…. Can't resist playing with him!
