2008 Chesapeake Spring Clinic and CTR at Fair Hill

Colby and Ambrosa wait for the start with Brenda and Corina

Once Again Cate has given us a great way to ease into the spring riding season.  For those of us who have not been able to ride thru the winter elements like we planned her 10 and 15 mile clinic options are just the ticket!  The gang at Feather Hill found multiple blessings in the clinic options...

Not only is the Fair Hill facility amazing, the ride is well organized and managed and the mileage variables provide for all levels of experience and conditioning or lack there of!

In our case we had one experienced youth rider, Callie Fish....on her own novice horse Katrina de Favorito for Katies first ride.

And our son,  Colby Hall in his first ride ever on Ambrosa de Pluma,  a novice horse also on her first ride...

We had one seasoned horse returning from an 11 month lay off..

This was kind of a special day for me because it was so nice to get Colby out there with us and we got to ride my two favorite sisters Corina and Ambrosa together.

It was cold, we even had a few snow flurries!  Thus the blankets were kept on till the start and the rump rugs ended up staying on the whole ride.  Blankets again at the end trying to keep the shivers and muscle cramps at bay.

Colby and Ambrosa did an amazing job together!  Both were a little tired as I am sure neither one had any idea what to expect!

Callie enjoyed her ride on Katie and for me it was great to be back in the saddle with my favorite girl Corina!

We approached the clinic as a training ride both for conditioning and for the new horses to experience the crowd and the vetting process.  Here we are at the in timer.
